About — Catalogue 001 — Melbourne AU
The maker.
Graham Sissons is a designer from New Zealand, based in Melbourne — working where mechanical engineering meets industrial design.
He’s in his fourth year of a double degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design at RMIT, after first finding product design and CAD in high school back in New Zealand. The two disciplines pull in the same direction: every project has to be both a resolved object and a genuinely makeable one.
His work runs across products, furniture, lighting and mechanism — a Maybach-inspired controller, a generative-design table leg for metal printing, a suspended timber-cube pendant, a hand-built desk, a working da Vinci machine. Each one is a study: an idea tested in physical terms, from first sketch through CAD, rendering and prototype.
Currently open to commissions, collaborations and graduate opportunities.
